Ariake Arena is a competition venue for the Tokyo 2020 Games built by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in the northern part of Koto Ward’s Ariake district. With a construction budget of approximately 37 billion JPY, this venue will host the Olympic Volleyball and Paralympic Wheelchair Basketball events. The five-story facility is the largest arena in the Tokyo metropolitan area and will feature a main arena with 15,000 spectator seats (including temporary seating), as well as a sub-arena and exchange plaza.
